Swashbuckler!: Basic Information

As far as I know, the following information is as official as it can get. This information can be found in the Eternal Arcadia Artbook, which comes packaged in the limited editon box released in Japan.

For those interested, I orginally posted Vyse's stats as follows: Age 17, Height 5'7, Weight 130-135 lbs. Not bad, eh?

When compared to the other males in the game, Vyse is one of the shortest and lightest; only De Loco is smaller (4'11, 88 lbs... X.x ). He's also one of the youngest characters; most are over 20.

The next part is all speculation. Neither Zodiac signs nor blood types are given for the characters, so I just guessed--although, since Arcadia is an entirely different world, Zodiac signs would make little sense.

In Japan, blood type is sort of the equivalent of a Zodiac sign; each blood type defines certain personality traits. Positive bloodtype B personality traits are cheeriness, optimisim, adventurism, sensitivity and being outgoing. Negative aspects are forgetfulness, noisiness, being spontaneous, and exaggerating.

The Sagittarius Zodiac sign encourages adventure, travel, and expanding horizons.  This excerpt is from ZodiacHouse.com:

Adventure, travel, and a continual desire to expand horizons are marked characteristics of Sagittarius. Planetary energy here is expressed freely and unrestrained. At its best, Sagittarius is kind, generous, and projects its energies as an educator. At its worst, this sign is often involved in more than it can handle and makes promises it can't keep. Sagittarius is quite concerned with principals, moral standards, spiritualism, and broadcasting opinions to the world at large.

Seems appropriate, doesn't it?

At the begining of the game, Vyse lives with his parents, just like most people his age. ^_^  He's a member of Dyne's crew, along with Aika, but he doesn't seem to have a set routine or job.  He does get to take the wheel of the Albatross on occasion, and he and Aika are always the first on the enemy ship whenever a raid takes place. He hasn't quite gotten used to calling his dad "Captain" yet, which irritates Dyne to no end. Unlike many main characters in RPGs, Vyse has a pretty stable childhood, although it probably wasn't the safest.
